While in Lake Tahoe the crew will be on the look-out for signs of the legendary lake monster that allegedly resides in the famous deep blue lake. The lake monster legend stretches back in time to Native American folklore tales that tell of encounters with the lake monster. There have even been reported sightings in recent times from a number of credible sources, which would seem to indicate the creature is alive and well living in Lake Tahoe.
However, even if we don't catch sight of a real lake monster the crew will meet with Bob McCormick the creator of the Tahoe Tessie character. Bob coined the name Tahoe Tessie while on a trip with a friend and years later the name is synonymous with Lake Tahoe. Bob, not only created the Tahoe Tessie character, but he's also the author of two children's books that feature the adventures of Tahoe Tessie.
