About the Tour of the Crystal Skull
As we do each year, the team at Believe It Tour selects one theme to use as the focus of our annual adventure. However, since there is never a shortage of interesting places to explore this often makes our decision extremely difficult. For the first time this wasn’t a problem we had this year. With all of the global attention around the Mayan Calendar and the 2012 Prophecy could selecting a theme be any easier? We didn’t think so, which is why we have the Tour of the Crystal Skull for 2012.
With the theme set, the task of determining destinations is where the real fun begins. While many people think of southern Mexico when the topic of Mayan ruins is discussed we decided to factor in the significance of the Crystal Skulls and their connection to what some say will take place in 2012. This is why we have chosen Belize as the prime destination.
Arguably the most famous of the crystal skulls was said to be found at Lubaantun, the pre-Columbian ruined city of the Maya located in southern Belize. Aside from the controversy surrounding this skull known as the “Mitchell Hedges Skull” or “The Skull of Doom,” as to the legitimacy of this skull being found at Lubaantun the story itself provides a great place to start.
From now until December 21, 2012, Believe It Tour will take you on an informative journey to prepare you for the approaching date. The highlight is obviously the trip to central America in November, but many side expeditions and interviews will be included to keep it exciting until December rolls around.
