Old Haunts Transylvania
Hungary and Romania were legends were made
Transylvania
Hungary is a nation with a hauntingly beautiful countryside and cities filled dark ornate gothic architecture, but as one of the oldest countries in Europe it’s also rich with legends and folklore. The Hungarian folklore ranges from werewolves and woodland creatures to vampires and haunted castles.
Romania is home to many the oldest haunts and legends of believeitology? Folklore is truly alive in this amazing country. Stories of vampires and werewolves still haunt the villages today. It will be fascinating to learn about and experience the Transylvania regional culture first hand as I meet new people and explore the country looking for it’s hidden treasures and old tales.
Drum Bun
When driving along the highways and byways of Romania you can’t help noticing the signs when you exit a town. At the town’s edge there is always a large sign proclaiming “Drum Bun.” Drum (pronounced droom) literally means a “road” or “path” and bun (boon) just means “good”. Together the two words literally mean “good road” and it’s the nation’s way of saying to have a safe journey.
