John grew up as a corn-fed, wholesome boy somewhere in the Midwest (Kansas City, to be more exact). He had his football dreams dashed early on (at the hands of some unusually burly peewee linebackers). So, John turned to more artistic and scholarly endeavors and developed a particular passion for science fiction stories - which he enjoyed both for their scientific and mind-expanding possibilities.
John earned a BFA in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1991. John's work background includes studio photography and fine art photographic printing, but he has built a career as a graphic designer. He is currently a co-owner of 1000 Robots Design based out of Denver, Colorado. John is also a painter and printmaker and pursues these crafts in tandem with his design work.
When he is not bathed in a warm, digital glow, John loves searching out the unknown on the back of a bike. He has experienced many strange and wondrous things on his travels around the globe and knows that the amazing things his eyes have seen must only be the tip of the iceberg.
John is looking forward to being a stowaway on this trip and hopes the team will find it in their hearts to let him out of the trunk every once in a while.
