Rhode Island native Ed Northby is perhaps most well known for his love of soccer and fascination with digital music. As a child Northby traveled Europe and grew to love the local religion known as football (soccer). As an English Premier fan Northby is an Arsenal follower till the end. The Gunners run through his blood. Just the mention of Chelsea makes him ill.
While living in Germany Northby became interested and fascinated with electronic music. Not being able to get enough of the European sound, Northby began a band called Universal Tribe. The two man sythpop band was well known through-out Rhode Island and the internet during the 90's, but fell victim to the relocation of both band members. Even now Universal Tribe (U-Tribe) songs can still be found in far corners of the internet.
Northby still maintains a digital studio, but has moved on to pursue web-based initiatives and spend his golden years of soccer on the grassy pitch.
