Tracy Northby
Born and raised in beautiful North Carolina, Tracy moved north in 2001 from Charlotte to Providence, Rhode Island for the New England experience. As a lover of nature, Tracy often took off on her own for day trips to the NC Mountains. There was nothing like reaching the summit after an early morning rise and brisk hike up the Tanawha Trail (BRP milepost 305.5). Unsure whether it was the breathtaking views, adrenalin crave or the oneness felt with nature, she kept coming back for more.

In Rhode Island Tracy is a photography hobbyist. As a child, her grandfather was a professional photographer and she would spend hours in his studio day dreaming about her own National Geographic possibilities. Although she admits she will never make it to NG or even fully master her hobby, she enjoys the time spent outdoors and the simple fun it brings.
Over the last several years, Tracy has volunteered for varied humanitarian work that took her south to Georgia, Florida, Jamaica, and even across seas to Albania. In Rhode Island, she continues to donate her time to work with organizations such as Rebuild Together, a national nonprofit that rehabilitates homes for low-income homeowners.
Life is too short to be force fed; get out and form your own beliefs.
